Gibson SG Classic Faded Electric Guitar Worn Cherry

Product Description

Inspired by the 1960s SG Special, the Gibson SG Classic Electric Guitar re-creates the look and sound of the most influential guitar in both Britain and the U.S. during the psychedelic era complete with a worn cherry finishy. It has the original all-mahogany body, dual P-90 pickups, and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.A Little SG HistoryIn 1961, the Les Paul was redesigned with a thinner body and 2 sharp cutaway horns that making the upper frets more accessible while lowering production costs. The new guitar was popular, but Les Paul the guitarist did not like it and asked to have his name removed. Gibson renamed the model the "SG" which was short for "solid guitar". Though Les Paul's name was officially removed from the model in 1961, the plastic Les Paul nameplates (positioned between the rhythm pickup and fingerboard) were in abundance in the Gibson factory and SG models having these nameplates were built and sold by Gibson up to end of 1963. SGs have been the choice of world-class artists such as Pete Townsend, Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi, and Angus Young.

Steinberger Synapse XS-1FPA Custom Bass Guitar with Gigbag, Trans. Blue

Product Description

Designed by Ned Steinberger, it features the patented U-channel graphite core in a rock maple neck and maple body. ComboΓäó head accommodates double-ball and single-ball strings while the unique direct-drive double ball bridge adds super-fast string changes and tune-it-once tuning stability. While other guitar manufacturers have been resting on their laurels, Steinberger's been thinking. Witness the strap hook, recessed tool holder and output jack, fold-down leg rest, and phenolic fingerboard that's slick as butter and fast as lightning. Low-impedance EMG USA bass pickup with internal low-impedance preamp and piezo bridge extends the range on both ends for earth-moving lows and phenomenal transients from slap-style playing. And like all Steinbergers, it's super comfortable and perfectly balanced.

Learn About the Taylor Guitars 110ce Model

The Taylor 110 is a superb option for the budget-minded guitarist or an "extra" guitar for the seasoned player, the 110ce has an extremely rich and versatile voice.

A cutaway adds upper range to TaylorΓÇÖs most affordable full-size dreadnought, while the ES-T pickup primes you for plugging in.

Dreadnought Guitars: A Taylor Tradition the Taylor 110ce Continues

Bob Taylor launched his career crafting Dreadnoughts and Jumbos, working with shapes he inherited from Sam Radding, the owner of the American Dream guitar shop, where he and Taylor co-founder Kurt Listug got their start.

"Our dreadnought early on was pretty boxy, and the Jumbo was kind of a big square thing, too--kind of the American Dream take on the J200 or the big Guild stuff, back in the '70s," Bob recalls.

In 2003, the dreadnought underwent a major revoicing to give it a more competitive identity among flatpickers. A cannon, it boasted 50 percent more volume and a stronger bass response, and yielded a potent growl when players dug in without upsetting Taylor's sonic balance.

The Taylor Dreadnought delivers a vintage dreadnought sound for the 21st Century.
